If you're looking for a new blend to try, we highly recommend the Guatemala Medium Roast! This blend is a perfect balance of sweet and citric notes with lemon and almond flavors that will surely give you a satisfying coffee experience.
The beans used in this blend come from nearly 100 small producers living in and around San Andres, just outside of San Lucas Toliman on the way to Cerro de Oro. Each producer delivers 1-2 bags of cherry per day and is paid individually for the product. The altitude in this region varies somewhat dramatically between 1600 and 1900 masl, which gives the beans unique flavors and characteristics.
To brew this blend, we suggest using a French press or a pour-over method. The French press will give you a fuller body, while the pour-over method will bring out the bright and fruity flavors. As for pairing with snacks, this coffee will go well with fresh fruit, pastries, or chocolate. You can also try it with savory snacks like nuts, cheese, or charcuterie.
Apart from the taste, this blend also comes with a story. Los Volcanes Coffee provided agronomic training to small producers before the pandemic. They hope to provide more of these training opportunities in the future to support their small producer partners. Drinking this coffee not only gives you a great experience, but it also supports local farmers and their families.
For coffee lovers, the Guatemala Medium roast from Portland Coffee is a must-try. Its distinct flavor profile and heartwarming story make it a blend that you can appreciate not only for its taste but also for its social impact. Go ahead, grab a bag, brew a cup, and savor the rich flavor of this amazing blend with your favorite snack.
